Some new pyrrole, pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine and spiro pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized and identified by IR, 1H NMR, MS and elemental analysis. Most of the newly synthesized compounds were tested for their in vivo anti-inflammatory activity. Among them, compounds 4a-d, 5b-d and 8d are active compared to the activity of ibuprofen.
